I really like my new Moto Z Play but I am having problems with my ringtone, it's a ringtone from Zedge and instead of playing the entire ringtone (Downton Abbey theme, lol) it plays a about 5 seconds and then starts from the beginning again. It also starts off really soft and it takes a few seconds for it to reach a hearable volume. Also, my notifications for FB messenger aren't working, I am not sure if that is connected to the ringtone problem?

When I choose a notification from the stock list, you can't hear it unless you click it twice. Then no sound at all when I actually get a text. When I choose a notification from the stock list, you can't hear it unless you click it twice. Please share the link for the ringtone you used and I'll try to duplicate.-Tom. It's not just your phone. I have been round & round with Motorola & Verizon, all you get is a big runaround i.e. Factory Reset. It is a problem across the board with the new Z series.
I have the Z Force & have the exact same problem. No text notifications sound (happens every 2 days) turning off phone resets back to normal. Same problem with Facebook notifications also. The speaker has approx.
A 2 to 3 sec. Delay before sound comes out, thats why you have to tap on a notification sound (Captain's Log) multiple times before you get sound. IT IS A REAL PROBLEM THAT DOES EXIST! Moto needs to 1st acknowledge it & then fix it!!!The Z Force is an AMAZING phone otherwise. So please, please fix this problem Moto. Yeah the phone gets a little warm sometimes but not what I would call Hot.
Nothing I've ever been concerned about. I don't use my camera a whole lot so I can't really comment much on that. Most of my issues revolve around the simplest most basic aspects of the phone. The phone itself. You would think they would have these types of bugs worked out by now, it's not like cell phones were just invented yesterday. I'll just trust that they Are working on a fix for all of us.
I didn't buy the Motorola 'flagship' phone to have these kinds of problems. Hi,i purchased a Moto z that i just was dieing to have, had purchased others but the Z just stood ought in my mind.Once again Motorola and or Lenovo, has done it again, standing out of th crowd with there individuality and attention to detail.
But,I AM SO DISSAPPOINTED WITH THIS LOW NOTIFICATION SOUNDS!!!! How could this be???
I know things happen but this should of been taken care of already. But,i believe that it will or that NOUGAT will be the answer.I think strongly that Moto Z and the rest will get it but,IT IS SUCH A BUMMER,getting messages, facebook, texts, whats app,and others that use ringtones, that u can hear so low. PLEASE MOTOROLA/LENOVO, I love the MOTO Z and want to continue using it but, this is just annoying and unacceptable. Thank you all. †Advanced nano-coating technology creates a water repellant barrier to help protect against moderate exposure to water such as accidental spills, splashes or light rain.
